Credit Cards 101: What is Minimum Amount Due?
The Minimum Amount Due or MAD is the lowest or minimum amount that you are required to pay on or before your payment due date to keep your account in good standing.
Take note that if the sum of your MAD as computed above is less than PHP 1,000, your actual MAD will be PHP 1,000.
Additionally, for dollar cards, if the sum of your MAD as computed above is less than USD 20, your actual MAD will be USD 20.
Should I only pay for my MAD?
While paying the MAD keeps your credit card account in good standing, it is wise to pay more or in full to avoid incurring additional charges, such as Finance Charge, Late Charge, etc., and pay off your balance faster.
