Credit Cards 101: What is an Overlimit Fee?

Every time you go beyond your credit limit, your account will be charged an Overlimit (OVL) Fee equivalent to PHP 750 per occurrence. You can be charged with a maximum of 2 OVL fees within the statement cut-off date.

What can I do to stay within my credit limit?

You can monitor your credit card usage and available credit through the Metrobank App. Note that all recent transactions posted as “unposted” are already computed into your available credit but not yet included in your outstanding balance, as this portion will only be updated once the transactions are posted. Additionally, you may request a temporary or permanent increase in credit limit, subject to the bank’s approval.

Don’t have the Metrobank App yet? Download the Metrobank App via Google Play, the App Store, and AppGallery, sign up for an account, and enroll your Metrobank credit card.
